Manhole Rehabilitation (237110)
1.Manhole Rehabilitation Class A: Pre-cast manholes exhibiting age and
structural fatigue with minimal H2S concentrations will require the
application of a minimum of ½” 100% calcium aluminate cementitious
lining provided by SewperCoat, Strong Seal, or approved equal.
2. Manhole Rehabilitation Class B: Brick manholes and/or damaged pre-cast
manholes with heavy aggregate exposed in low to moderate H2S exposure
will require the application of a minimum l “, 100% calcium aluminate
cementitious lining provided by SewperCoat, Strong Seal, or approved
equal.
3. Manhole Rehabilitation Class C: Brick and/or pre-cast manholes
exhibiting serious corrosion in a harsh H2S environment will require the
application of l “, 100% calcium aluminate cementitious lining or
microsilica lining. The lining shall be top coated with 100 mils of 100%
solids epoxy as manufactured by Quadex, Inc., Madewell Products
Corporation, Raven, Spectrashield, or approved equal.
